Travelling today on a busy and packed train so many do not consider to offer their seat to an elderly Really! A kind gesture always feels soooo good. It’s not about being a martyr but in an age and time where civil manners seems to be obsolete ( making a reference to London here, before I get shot down! ) that said I am on a train heading north… It doesn’t take much to make a difference. During this day, we promote the consciousness and During this day, we promote the consciousness and importance of Gaia, Mother Earth, Pachamama, and nature's force. The sacredness of her life must be honoured by walking our talk. Our nature provides us with life, and all we do is strip it, rape it, litter it, and disrespect it. We need to wake up! What part of the Earth's recovery have we so easily forgotten how beautiful, and exquisite the colour of parks, trees, rivers and life itself became after everything was halted during the first Covid lockdown? The Thames River was blue for the first time in decades, the leaves vibrant - the air so calm. And I am certain this was the case wherever you were in the world. I have shed tears and cried when I witnessed the aftermath of all the rubbish people leave behind after festivals or outdoor events. In my daily walks by the river, I see trash strewn about or empty crisp bags and litter left on the side banks. Why? Takeaway coffee cups, piled on top of the dog poo bin, selfishly left there, too much of a bother to carry home or to the nearest bin. ( This I have seen in Chiswick House) Every year following the Oxford and Cambridge rowing race, the London riverside is trashed in a sea of empty champagne, prosecco and wine bottles, beer cans and hundreds of plastic bags filled with the party's debris - abandoned by ill-considered people too lazy to take what they brought home. Being drunk is not an excuse. So let's consider Earth Day an everyday act. That means no littering, recycling, cutting back on plastics or anything that deters Gaia's well-being. I know there are greedy corporations that do more harm. But we must do what we can in our way. We cannot respect ourselves if it is not mirrored in our actions toward our beautiful Earth. This is not about leaving it to the minority who care about the planet but a responsibility we all must take. But while the energy for the next few weeks is particularly active, and with mercury, going into retrograde literally now, this prayer from ‘wild offering’ by Tosha Silver could not be more appropriate. Transformation is key to this eclipse, and it is imperative that we pay attention to what needs to go, what can be released and what space we can create for us to build a life that is nourishing and authentic. Day of rebirth and as Easter has been approaching, Day of rebirth and as Easter has been approaching, it made me think about how many people really think about what Easter personifies. Instead of all the chocolates that the supermarkets and shops promote, in reality, Easter is the weekend day, rather a day signifying Jesus’s resurrection. You don’t have to be a Christian to benefit this marking as it’s an archetypal theme of death and rebirth. Rebirth of the self, and I’m wondering if any of you are also feeling or tapped into this rising of the self. Here in the UK, we have a bank holiday tomorrow Monday and a way to honour this rebirth would be to reflect on your journey perhaps by thinking back to where you were a year ago, or even were a few months back or maybe even a few years back. We are all transitioning through major planetary aspects, such as Saturn, going into Pisces and Pluto more recently entering Aquarius. Spring is always an energy of new beginnings and rebirth. But for some reason, I can’t help but feel that this Easter is particularly poignant in our personal rebirth and change. Take time in the next few days to reflect. Take a slow walk in nature and observe nature rebirthing as it always does each seasonal year. The more we can align with nature, the more grounded we will also become. Taking stock of ourselves, our direction, our life path, and our relationships is the best thing we can be doing right now. It may also serve you to journal, ponder and take time out to notice your feelings, thoughts, and any emotions that could be expressing itself. It is imperative that we do this if we are to be an agency of our lives, and to be effective in our actions for the greater whole and for our communities. Some may have had enough of another’s behaviour, and despite making your line clear, it is always been breached or ignored this could be an end. With time speeding up, we are on this perpetual treadmill until we consciously get off it, slow it down and or get thrown off into a forced slow down, through illness or something that nudges us to take stock and take it a pace to fully slow down where we once more can get in touch with what our bodies are telling us versus the pushing ahead agendas that many seem to be living out these days.
