I will never share your personal information with companies other than my service providers; Madmimi, Google Analytics, iZettle and PayPal, as detailed below.

Why do I collect information from you?

I collect information about you when you contact me or place an order for products or services. I also collect information when you voluntarily complete contracts, surveys, provide feedback and participate in competitions. Website usage information is collected using cookies. In short, I collect data from you:

  • To allow me to process your order/enquiry
  • To provide you with the best possible service
  • For invoicing, which would be only at your request

What information do we collect from you?

  • Your name – so I know what to call you and who you are.
  • Email address – so I can email you order confirmations, and booking times.
  • Telephone number – I will only call if we have a problem or to talk to you about your session or booking
  • Credit/debit card details  – to process payment of your order.

Acuity Scheduler an online scheduling assistant will be my new booking system. Until such time, contact me, is the way to book. In the light of this new law, I am fore mentioning this change and you find their privacy policy here.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: Gratvatar Privacy Policy After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Marketing

I also offer an email newsletter to all customers who are subscribed to me to receive this. This is an opt-in service. You will receive this if:

  • You have made a purchase from me and have opted-in to receive the newsletter
  • You have registered to receive the newsletter elsewhere on the website

The opt-in for this newsletter is clearly marked and is an entirely optional service.  If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter then we offer a simple unsubscribe facility and you should not receive any further emails from us. Email policy

My email service provider, Madmimi who act as information processors on my behalf, will hold your name and email address for the purpose of me sending you my newsletter.

Contact Form

I keep contact form submissions for a 5 years for customer service purposes, but I do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Third parties

I do NOT pass your details on to anyone else for marketing purposes. If you opt-in for any of marketing emails then it is only myself that will contact you with information about other products and services I offer.

I do work with other companies to allow us to do this, but the data is always our data and is held securely for my use only. Currently, this includes my email marketing and my service/product review requests.

Payment Policy

If you pay me for my services you are likely to use either iZettle or PayPal, as these are my preferred payment methods.

Google Analytics and your IP address

I use Google Analytics to collect standard internet information such as your IP address, browser type, time zone and location, your operating system and your visitor behaviour patterns. This is just to understand better how people use my site from a marketing perspective.  This information doesn’t identify you by name, only your IP address is stored by Google.  This is standard for most sites you will visit on a daily basis.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data
